• The 1970 T100 represents the most refined version of the Triumph 500 Tiger (19591974)
• The continual refinement was partly because 500 cc was the classic limit in international competition and the mainstay of AMA "Class C" racing until 1969
• The T100 came in two versions, the T100R "Daytona" with dual carbs and high lift cams and the T100C "Trophy" with a single carb and milder cams
• The 1970 model has a second muffler to keep the sound level down while retaining exhaust efficiency
